About me!

Hi, my name is Sheena and I qualified as a massage therapist in July 2018 from Lincoln College and in sports massage in August 2022 through ProActive Training.

Back in 2017, having been in numerous jobs before and never quite finding the right fit, I decided to bite the bullet and re-train to give myself a more positive future. Having no idea what I wanted to do, I went to speak to tutors at Gainsborough College, who, through general conversation, happened to mention body massage and the lightbulb in my brain switched on! Body massage had never crossed my mind before however I was instantly hooked on the idea.

Being hyper-mobile (which for me, means having extra lose ligaments and therefore constantly tight muscles to prevent my joints from moving out of place) I am a constant visitor to a chiropractor therefore the thought of being able to use body massage in order to help people relieve aches and pains, to de-stress or just to give them a little bit of relaxing 'me-time' really appealed to me.

Since training I have had two beautiful children which made juggling my previous job and being self employed as a massage therapist a challenge. I decided to take a break from massage (mainly enforced through the global pandemic) however I am now back up and running.

I am currently training to become a McTimoney chiropractor and, through the college, was given the opportunity to complete my sports massage training.

I live in Newton-on-Trent, a very nearly equal distance of 20 minutes drive between Lincoln, Gainsborough and Newark. All journeys are straight forward and easy - often easier than trying to drive 20 minutes just though a town or city! There is also driveway parking so no excessive parking charges!
