Sports massage can be beneficial for those who had suffered an injury and also those who regularly play sports and/or are very physically active. 

 

Massage can be used for maintenance and also after injury. Using massage for maintenance does just what it says on the tin - it maintains your body to keep you feeling well and physically able to continue what you're doing, without the increased risk of injury. It can also help after an injury in order to rehabilitate the injured muscles and get you back into your chosen activity. 

Sports massage can include Neuro Muscular Techniques (NMT's or trigger pointing) Muscle Energy Techniques (MET's), deep tissue, soft tissue and myofascial release as well as range of movement testing to see where any issues may lie.
